A delegation from the Mexican province Morelos visited the Brainport Eindhoven region from February 21st till February 26th. EIPO provided a program to share experiences on Triple Helix collaboration and Eindhoven’s successful development model.
The Morelos delegation consisted of the province’s minister of economics, minister of innovation, secretary of innovation and technological development and other government officials, the director of Morelos Human Capital Council and representatives from OECD and the Mexican embassy in The Netherlands. Their mission was to experience the successful Brainport Eindhoven collaboration and development model and learn how this could benefit Morelos.
EIPO organized an extensive three-day program, including company and university visits and meetings with leaders from local and regional governments, industry and universities. During this program, Morelos learned about the necessity of strong collaborative networks to initiate, connect and scale successful innovation projects. Without a joint ambition, good relations between partners and acknowledgement of individual interests, new projects will only deliver isolated, short-term effects.
To further enhance the effectiveness of the Morelos Human Capital Council, new ways of collaboration need to be explored in the province of Morelos.
